This photograph is one of the most popular
photographs when the people go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When I went to Rio de
Janeiro I took this photo, it amazing and very mystic. When somebody goes to
Rio de Janeiro should visit the Tijuca National Park and the Corcovado that is
the main mountain in the city. There is a long way to the lookout in the top of
the mountain, where is the great and biggest "Cristo redentor"
statue, this statue height 38 meters plus 8 meters of the base and is a
worldwide know and famous. I don’t remember the date but I took this photograph
last year (2013) in summer holidays. I live very much this photograph for many
reasons, that photo remember a good journey to a great country whit a beautiful
places and people, Brazil is awesome, also I consider myself as a Christian and
this picture represent very much for the all Christian community in the world,
apart the statue is wonderful, is biggest and can be see it in many places of
Rio. And the most important reason is that the lookout is 710 meters over the
sea level, and is one of the 9 wonder of modern world.
Oh !! Cristo Redentor is really awesome!! I never have been in Rio, but in Camboriu (Brazil too) is the Cristo Luz, a very similar statue, but smaller than Cristo Redentor, and when I saw it, I feel something similar to you in Rio, because I'm christian too :)
