The structure of a Teeth

(session 4)

To begin, very generally the teeth are composed by 8 structures, some of those are very associated between them. We can do a clasification, a top part called Corona or crown, and the bottom called Root . Also, some people include another part called Neck

The crown is the part of the tooth that is uncovered and is in the cavity of the mouth. include these structures.
  • Enamel 
  • Dentine
  • Pulp cavity and pulp, that containing blood vessels and nerves. 
The neck is the part between the top and the bottom of tooth. And contain...
  • A part of dentine
  • A part of pulp canal
  • A part of cementum
  • And anex to the tooth, the gingiva and a part of the periodontal ligament.
